Rockcastle Media Networks is proud to announce the launch of The MusicWeek Countdown, the only program of its kind for Mainstream AC radio. “In conversations with AC PD’s, it became clear the demand was still there for a program counting down the format’s top hits, coupled with the chart-topping gold that remains the cornerstone of the format,” said Rockcastle Media Networks President/CEO Will Sterrett. “This two-hour program, along with the launch of our unique ‘BarterFlex’ program, really puts stations in the driver’s seat with compelling programming and the flexibility to maximize in-show inventory.”
The MusicWeek Countdown delivers the top 10 songs of the week as well as the stories behind the hits, the latest artist news, and plenty of chart-topping, top-testing gold via the “By Request” and “Countdown Extra” segments. The program is available on a market-exclusive, 100% barter basis, and affiliates have the option of airing spots in-program or scattering them throughout the week with Rockcastle Media Networks’ ‘BarterFlex’ program. Delivery for The MusicWeek Countdown is via FTP download, with the first feeds delivered for the weekend of July 2.
The MusicWeek Countdown is hosted by Rockcastle Media Networks President & CEO Will Sterrett, whose 20-year on-air career includes Mainstream AC experience at KLTQ/Omaha, KPLA/Columbia MO, and Waitt Radio Networks, among others.
